Emerson comes to Community Forward SF after 22 years in emergency medicine. He started on the frontline as an EMT first responder and then worked as an emergency room nurse through many Bay Area hospitals. In 2018, Emerson moved into the social work field, starting in the residential treatment setting and focusing on mental health and wellness. Emerson has a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from San Francisco State University, an associate degree in nursing at the College of Marin, and an associate of arts degree from Skyline College. As a leader, Emerson is dependable, transparent, and has a very compassionate personality. He has applied his many years of working within emergency services to leading Community Forward’s Client Services department with a tactical, yet calm approach.
