Our Programs

Supportive Housing

Community Forward SF recognizes that the experience of homelessness is isolating and traumatic and that even after housing, those with lived experiences need support.

That is why we run two permanent supportive housing sites—our Coronado Housing and Eddy Street Apartments—with trauma-informed programing, interventions, and on-site services.

Residents once again can live with dignity, in their own apartment, with their own key.

Guest Story

Johnathan* had experienced homelessness before suffering an injury, allowing him to enter Coronado Housing. He resided there for three years, and our housing director soon realized that he wanted to move into his own apartment. Specifically—he wanted a unit with its own kitchen and bathroom. Our Case Manager worked hard on an exit plan to get him into his dream unit.

Eventually, a unit opened up at our affordable housing site on Eddy Street, and our housing director secured a rental subsidy for Johnathan. He still receives case management, but now lives in his own apartment, complete with a bath and kitchen.
